Solution: Use the same wireframe for each website but with different content and color scheme - blue for retail and red for pro. The programming team used wordpress templates for both websites. I wrote all copy, edited all images and created the layout for both websites. For the retail website, I used Shopify to create the company’s first ecommerce store. Outcome: Better overall customer experience. Less calls to customer support on where to find information on the website. The websites also became more in line with the websites of our major competitors - Ecobee, Nest and Honeywell. Contractors showed appreciation for the in-depth content that was created for the pro site. Solution: Designed a custom-made trade show booth that focused on LUX’s multiple lines of smart products. One section would be for the GEO line of smart thermostats, one section would be for the KONO line of smart thermostats and one section would be for the LUX Pro Services app. Each area of the booth could be swapped out with any other product line, making it easy to adapt to any trade show or audience. The back “wall” had a total of 18 smart thermostats mounted and connected to transformers so they could be used and tested by attendees throughout the day. Four smart hubs were also placed on shelves connected to the outside support beams. The center of the “wall” featured a large 10ft x 10 ft removable banner. The front of the booth featured two kiosks with four iPads attached to each. Each kiosk also had removable front panel art. I worked closely with the trade show booth supply company, Skyline, to come up with this custom design. In addition to designing the booth, I also designed the trifold that was passed out to attendees as well as a series of flash cards with talking points for our employees to use during the show. I also created all pre show flyers and email blasts as well as a pre show checklist to make sure all aspects of the show were taken care of in time.. Solution: Design a series of ads that feature a different color thermostat faceplate with a lifestyle background. I created these ads with Photoshop by dropping the product into a stock background. These were then used throughout paid, remarketing and on social. I created a second series of ads that focused on the paintable thermostat faceplates. I did A/B testing with copy to see what performed the best. I also worked closely with the agency Metric Theory on strategy and implementation for Google AdWords and Bing Search.
